Blue Water to acquire water treatment specialist

Blu e Water Technologies, Inc, a specialist in water contaminant removal, has acquired Applied Process Technology Inc, based in Texas, USA. Applied Process sells filtration equipment into the municipal and industrial water treatment marketplace under the brand name Centra-flo, which has an issued patent and various regulatory approvals including California Title 22 approval. The company has over 220 filter installations i n the US and Canada.

Applied Process' Centra-flo filter is already a key component in Blue Water's Blue PRO advanced phosphorus removal process, the company says. "The combined forces of our companies will allow significant growth opportunities in the expanding water treatment marketplace," said Jay Stevens, newly hired general manager of the whole subsidiary.
