Gas Chromotography series expanded
Agilent Technologies Inc has announced enhancements to its 7890A Series of Gas Chromatography (GC) and its 5975C series of Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometer (GC/MS).
According to the company, the equipment has been designed to improve the analysis of complex mixtures and make powerful qualitative and quantitative capabilities accessible to a wider range of laboratories.
The comprehensive GC is one area in which the company has enhanced the 7890A Series, as the, now cryogenic-free, separation of complex samples is managed by diverting each peak from a GC column to a second column. Agilent says this two-column method can increase peak capacity and resolving power, which can be useful with complex mixtures such as petroleum, fuels, fragrance and environmental samples.
