Mann+Hummel acquires interior filter maker
Mann+Hummel is to acquire Bavaria, Germany-based interior filter maker Helsa-Automotive from companies led by Schoeller Metternich Beteiligungen (SMB).
In 2006 Helsa-Automotive had a total of 350 staff in German and Czech locations and a recorded turnover of around €50 million.

Mann+Hummel says that this acquisition strengthens its international competitiveness and further expands its worldwide market position in interior filters. According to Mann+Hummel, in 2006 the worldwide demand for interior filters in series manufacturing exceeded 40 million units, of which Europe accounted for about half.
