Nanofilter achieves energy savings
Ultra.air Group has announced the launch of Ultra.filter, a new generation of nano-technology filter elements. Ultra.filter can achieve up to 70% savings in annual energy costs by using the Ultra.air patented radial technology that combines binder-free, non-woven nanofibre filter media with pleating technology.
The new Ultra.filter element integrates a multi-layer binder free nanofibre filter media. Unlike existing filter elements, the fibres of the Ultra.air nano-filter media are not bonded with an adhesive, instead they are thermally welded. This improves the dirt-holding capacity. The new nano-filter media is also oleophobic, therefore oil and water are actively rejected. These features reduce the differential pressure drop, which in turn reduces operating costs compared with traditional filter elements.
